COVID-19 Information

What is Empowered Doing?

We put together 4 complete phases of our At Home Training Program:

  • 20-30 minutes of skills
  • PSM Workouts
  • Character, Leadership & Mindset Training
  • Personal/Team Connection
  • Instagram Takeovers & Giveaways

We are receiving counsel from CDC, Board of Health, Government, Parkview, USAV, JVA, AAU, Directors/Coaches and our Doctors on our Medical Advisory Board.

We are encouraging and implementing new social distancing and sanitation protocols:

  • All athletes will be encouraged to bring personal hand sanitizer. We have put out many large dispensers around the facility.
  • All athletes will be given a custom Rox Volleyball facemask
  • Athletes will be split into small training groups to limit the number of interactions
  • Lines for drills will be properly spaced (6' or 8 tiles apart)
  • Physical contact (i.e. high 5's, hugs, etc.) will be extremely limited
  • When possible, reps will be performed without athletes contacting and sharing the same balls
  • We will limit the number of people in locker rooms/bathrooms to no more than 10 at a time
  • Athletes will be encouraged to go home, shower, and wash their clothes everyday immediately after practice
  • Parents should wait for athletes in their cars. NO SPECTATORS WILL BE ALLOWED UNTIL IT IS SAFE.
  • We will modify events/number of teams accordingly safely host any events and practices in our gym

Season Overview

Due to the current restrictions placed by the Governor's Office, we cannot run programming until May 24th. We are looking for clarification on if we can do beach and lessons and will provide those updates as we get them. We will work within any guidelines and restrictions on number of people that are allowed in the gym once we get the OK to do so.

It is unlikely now that any tournaments will happen in May. We are optimistic about tournaments in June and July but will have a better idea about everything as time goes on.

Our plan is to make up everything we missed. All practice time that we missed have been planned to be made up through the month of June and for some people into July. We will expect to attend the tournaments that were rescheduled. If we do miss any events they will be credited or refunded.
